Higher education in the profession of interior design, Level II certification (France) and Level 6 certification (EU), in the French National Directory of Professional Certifications.
CREAD Institut is a private school of higher education founded 45 years ago in Lyon and managed by interior designers to train the interior designers of tomorrow. CREAD has a decidedly international outlook and is based on the richness of its history, its roots in the Rhône-Alpes region, its influence in France and its partnerships abroad.
A training programme modelled on professional reality
Since it was founded in 1972, CREAD Institut has always adapted its training programme to changes in the profession of interior design. Patricia Lasserre, herself an interior designer, has carried on this tradition since she became director in 2006.
As the labour market becomes increasingly demanding, interior design and general design professionals seek highly qualified associates with training approved and recognised throughout Europe.
The associates selected by these agencies must possess creative and technical skills to complete a mission ranging from architectural design to execution.
As Patricia Lasserre likes to say, interior design adapts to human beings, not the other way round.
An educational programme designed to produce autonomous, employable new graduates
The profession of interior design combines multiple skill sets. The goal of the educational programme designed by CREAD Institut is to impart and develop these skills via a multidisciplinary teaching method.
Its learning methods are based on personalised education and interaction with teachers placing students at the heart of their own learning.
Theory courses, workshops, teamwork, conferences, talks by professionals, exhibitions, museums, events, competitions, professional internships, research and innovation laboratories — all practices in service to students.
To achieve this goal, the course is divided into two cycles of learning spread over four years of studies.
A diploma in Interior Design, Level II certification (France) and Level 6 certification (EU), registered in the French National Directory of Professional Certifications of 19 November 2013 published in the Official Journal of the French Republic of 29 November 2013 (French NSF code 233n).
We offer two cycles of studies spread over four years, leading to a diploma in Interior Design and General Design with Level II certification, recognised throughout Europe.
The first cycle, which spans the first three years, lays the foundations of interior design. The second cycle, which spans the fourth year, is a time for students to critically position themselves to achieve professional fulfilment.
This certification and the training provided by CREAD Institut are also recognised by the French National Union of Interior Designers (UNAID).

Needs, innovation and inspiration for creation
This training, with a decidedly international outlook, is aimed at interior designers who have achieved a certain level of mastery in their profession. The goal is to provide them with new sources of inspiration and keys to conquering new markets. This training allows them to develop their strategic and business skills while relying on their emotional intelligence.
This MBA is a genuine experimental laboratory, an international training programme open to new horizons. It is a place for meetings and exchanges of cultures and techniques. The structure of the modules and workshop in English serves these challenges of professional and human development. The educational approaches, team and tools used render this training programme a resource of both technical and human excellence.
In short: it is a superb training programme led by a team of experts from different sectors of interior design, design, business administration and digital innovation.
With this MBA, CREAD is adapting, as always, to changes in humans and society, for humans and society.
